I’m a writer, editor, researcher, and learning designer focused on civic design and knowledge sharing projects. I’m also a job fairy and an artist working mostly with oral history and textiles.

Currently, I

Lead learning design and content development for Civilla Practica, a free online learning program helping public-sector professionals embrace ethical research and design methods. I also support the studio’s ongoing writing, editing, and content design needs.

Run the donation-based newsletter Words of Mouth, where I share seemingly decent and interesting jobs and opportunities with many thousands of people each week.

Make and repair textiles, and lead textile repair workshops as one half of Repair Shop, a public education project intent on making mending accessible and commonplace.

Interview twins about their lived experience.

Previously, I

Collaborated with the Greenpoint Public Library to found the Repair Hub and develop a year’s worth of repair-focused public programming.

Partnered with university professors to design grad-level online courses in information and library science, social work, and management, and edited lesson plans and curriculum materials, at 2U

Consulted with City agencies to develop accessible digital experiences for New Yorkers, at NYC Mayor’s Office of the CTO

Managed editing and submissions for scholarly design publications, including Design and Culture, Journal of Design History, and Plot(s).

Researched, developed, and coordinated content for museums, exhibitions, and public spaces, at RAA

Got my MA in Design Studies from Parsons School of Design at The New School, where I studied the intersection of the built environment and human health.
